I've been making things for as long as I can remember, but my professional career started in 2001, when I graduated from NC State University's College of Design. Since then, I've been helping clients promote themselves through effective print and web design, in a wide variety of media including everything from invitations, handouts and newsletters to email marketing, video and social networks. I've made a point to never stop learning and I’ve pursued jobs and experiences that let me explore new ways of communicating. In 2008, I graduated with a Masters in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I've got skills, too.
My skills include writing and editing (AP style), print and web design, video and audio editing, brand management, prepress production, workshop instruction and public speaking. I am highly proficient in Adobe CS3 Design software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Acrobat), and proficient with Quark, Flash, HTML, CSS, video editing suites (iMovie, Final Cut, Premiere), audio editing tools (ProTools, Audition, Audacity), and Microsoft Office. I also have experience with most Web 2.0 and social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube) and several different blogging content management systems.
